Nieuw Tinariwen album

En daar is Tinariwen weer. De band kondigde net de opvolger van het in 2014 verschenen 'Enamaar' aan. Die gaat 'Elwan' heten en zal bijdragen van o.a. Kurt Vile, Matt Sweeney, Mark Lanegan bevatten.  

De groep nam het nieuwe album deels op in M'Hamid El Ghizlane, een oase in het zuiderse Marokko en deels in het woestijnachtige Joshua Tree National Park. Ze hebben ook Ténéré Tàqqàl, een eerste sample uit 'Elwan', met bijhorende video vrijgegeven. Die werd geregisseerd door Axel Digoix, die ook al aan 'The Little Prince' en 'Despicable Me 2' werkte.
