Alice Cooper vertelt verhalen uit Detroit

Op 26 februari verschijnt het eenentwintigste album van de shockrocker.

De opvolger van 'Paranormal' (en de ep 'Breadcrumbs') werd door Alice Cooper 'Detroit Stories' gedoopt, naar de stad waar de originele Alice Cooper Band het eerste succes behaalde. Producer was Bob Ezrin. Toelichting over het waarom van de titel krijg je van de man zelf: "Detroit was heavy rock central then. You’d play the Eastown and it would be Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, The Stooges and The Who, for $4! The next weekend at the Grande it was MC5, Brownsville Station and Fleetwood Mac, or Savoy Brown or the Small Faces. You couldn’t be a soft-rock band or you’d get your ass kicked."

De eerste single Rock 'n Roll, een cover van The Velvet Underground, is er nu vrijdag al.
