Mogwai deelt Ritchie Sacramento

Op 19 februari brengen de Schotten een tiende studioalbum uit. Luister hieronder naar de tweede single.

Mogwai bevalt op 19 februari van ‘As The Love Continues’, hun tiende album al. In oktober vorig jaar bracht de band al Dry Fantasy uit, maar nu zijn ze terug met het veel toegankelijkere Ritchie Sacramento dat wordt gedeeld met een clip van de hand van Sam Wiehl, bekend van zijn werk voor Ladytron, Forest Swords en modehuis Valentino. 

Mogwais Stuart Braithwaite zegt: “Ritchie Sacramento’s title came from a misunderstanding a friend of ours had about how to say Ryuichi Sakamoto. The lyrics were inspired by a story Bob Nastanovich shared about his friend and bandmate David Berman who proclaimed “Rise Crystal Spear” as he threw a shovel at a sports car. The song is dedicated to all the musician friends we’ve lost over the years.”
