NOTHING gaat verder in somberheid

Op 30 oktober verschijnt 'The Great Dismal'.

Volgens de eigen website verkent de vierde langspeler van nu-shoegazers NOTHING “existentialist themes of isolation, extinction and human behaviour in the face of 2020's vast wasteland”. Frontman, zanger-gitarist en ongelukskind Dominic Palermo koos dus opnieuw voor bijzonder opgewekte thema's.

“'The Great Dismal' refers to a swamp, a brilliant natural trap where survival is custom fit to its inhabitants", zegt hij er zelf over. “The nature of its beautiful, but taxing environment and harsh conditions can’t ever really be shaken or forgotten too easily.”

Op de plaat zijn onder meer harpist Mary Lattimore, klassiek muzikant Shelley Weiss en singer-songwriter en producer Alex G te gast.
