Paul Weller kondigt nieuw album aan

Het veertiende studioalbum van Paul Weller is op komst en lijkt niet op zijn voorgangers, noch solo, noch in groep.

Nog nooit legde hij zijn melancholische kant zo bloot als in de songs op deze plaat.

In mei werd Weller 60 jaar en 'True Meanings' lijkt daar een doorslag van te worden, gekenmerkt door een grootse, doch delicate orkestratie.

"I've been really comfortable with myself in the last ten years, I think. In life, and just the way I make music. I've got a greater appreciation for it all, really. I used to worry about that thing of getting older and losing your creativity, losing the plot, but I haven't found that. I've found the opposite", klinkt het.
